Team Coach

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Climb Team Program Facilitation
    • Set goals and follow through with the execution of these goals
    • Train, mentor, direct, and empower team coaches
    • Maintain company policies and procedures
    • Maintain risk management and manage the profitability of Climb Team
    • Prepare regular program analysis
    • Administrative tasks: registration systems, customer correspondence, team pro deals
    • Manage communication with parents about athletes’ progress, concerns, upcoming events & session information
    • Advance youth athletes in a way that fosters a love for climbing, athletic performance, outdoor stewardship, and individual growth and development
    • Develop curriculum content, including youth-centered training, team building, coach mentoring, and individual goals
  • Show initiative, self-motivation, and a high level of organization
  • Show a strong sense of leadership and communication skills
  • Provide exemplary customer service to Team participants and families, including providing excellent coaching
  • Follow risk management protocol and prioritize safety on team

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years climbing experience
  • Minimum 1 year coaching/teaching youth experience
  • Route setting experience preferred
  • Experience with USA Climbing/youth competitive climbing preferred
  • Customer service and administrative experience preferred

Expectations

  • 10-25 Hours per week
  • Evening and weekend availability required
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Must display professionalism and integrity
  • Available to work special events, competitions and training events
