"Chaturanga" is a series of movements that you'll frequently come across in any given vinyasa yoga practice. In this in-depth pop-up class, we'll look at deconstructing the individual components of this pattern, while studying the specific joint prerequisities required in order to practice it efficiently and effectively. Not your average run of the mill chaturanga focused class, we'll use locomotive patterns, active mobility work, and all sorts of props, so that you're able to walk away with a wide array of options best suited for your individual body.

In part one of this two part series, we’ll be using a variety of small balls to release various commonly held areas of tension in your body.  In part one, taking place on June 14th, we’ll focus on the upper body. You’ll learn where common trigger points are held and how to release them as well as leave having a full upper body myofascial release routine.

INTRO TO FINGER STRENGTH TRAINING | 08/06 AT 7:30PM

Finger strength training is an essential element as you progress your rock climbing skillset. In this special 60 minute pop-up class, we'll look at a detailed and structured approach to grip strength, that will help you to train intelligently and excel your climbing capacity. We recommend that all participants of this class have a minimum of 12 months of consistent climbing training under their belt, along with the ability to effectively climb at a v2-3 grade.

THE SQUAT | 08/10 AT 2PM

The squat is a fundamental movement pattern and a great exercise to build lower body strength, essential for everything from running & hiking to stabilizing landings while bouldering. In this class we’ll begin with the basics of a good squat pattern, eventually working towards multiple variations of the barbell squat. We’ll cover mobility and stretching work that can be done to improve the squat, then go over mechanics and technique for each lift that we'll be exploring, from the goblet squat and progressing to the barbell lifts.
