Alex Anderson

Since: 2013
About Originally a Nebraska native, Alex wasn’t introduced to climbing until he left the Cornhusker state, and has never looked back. With a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from the University of South Dakota and a Master’s Degree in Sport Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, Alex has spent the last 9 years traveling and studying while enjoying his outdoor passions including climbing, hiking, biking, and camping. After a string of various wildfires, and a devastating flood, Alex moved from the high Rockies to the land of 10,000 lakes in 2013. Alex began managing Vertical Endeavors Duluth shortly after moving to Minnesota, and in June 2017 chose to move to the Twin Cities and take on the role of Facility Manager here at Vertical Endeavors Minneapolis.

What I love about climbing: My favorite thing about climbing is that it can take you to the most inspiring and unique places on our planet. Whether you are situated thousands of feet above the Valley floor in Yosemite, or standing on top of Devils Tower in Wyoming, you understand that it is special to be able to experience something that very few will have the privilege of doing.
