Here’s your chance to have a structured, professionally delivered training plan aimed at helping you increase your base fitness level just in time for outdoor climbing season! Each week we will get a well-rounded, full-body workout which is designed to increase your overall fitness, strength, mobility, and endurance for climbing. You will have a chance to learn some new exercises and get instruction on some of the equipment you may not have used prior to this. Further, our training will help balance out your body and reduce the risk of overuse injuries. All training sessions will take place at the new VE Twin Cities Bouldering facility's fitness center which has all the tools and equipment we need for an optimal training program!

Kettlebells for Climbing

Vertical Endeavors–Twin Cities Bouldering

6-Week Bootcamp: $220

Kettlebells are a fantastic tool for increasing your strength and conditioning for climbing. During this 6-week course, we will cover the basic six kettlebell movements/lifts: Swing, Clean, Squat, Press, Snatch, and Turkish Getup. We will start with the Swing, which is a foundational movement for most other kettlebell exercises. Throughout the course and your learning, we will also manage to get a great workout. You’ll finish with a new comfort level with these exercises, and some ideas of how to add them to your own training plan. An exercise regimen featuring these can get you huge gains in your strength for climbing.

Schedule a FREE Consultation with Personal Trainer Andy Gunsaullus to set fitness goals and work out a plan for personal training one-on-one, as a pair, or in small groups. Ongoing personal training sessions will be priced out and scheduled with Andy during the consultation depending on your needs, desired frequency, and group size.

About Andy Gunsaullus

Partnering with Vertical Endeavors is the owner and head performance coach at MN Sports Performance, Andy Gunsaullus. Andy has a passion for helping clients set and reach their goals. Having been an athlete his entire life, he understands the commitment and work it takes to experience success. Andy played hockey, soccer, and golf growing up, eventually coming to MN to play hockey at Gustavus Adolphus College. After college he became a competitive rock climber, traveling the country competing and teaching rock climbing at indoor gyms. Along the way he developed a passion for endurance sports and has competed in every distance from 5k running races to Ironman Triathlon, eventually moving to longer and harder events such as 4-mile competitive open water swims and 100-mile ultra-trail running. And to top it all off, he has “dabbled” in powerlifting! In addition to MN Sports Performance, he currently coaches youth through Jr. A hockey, specializing in goaltending instruction and is a strength & conditioning coach at the college level for athletes from all sports.

All participants must sign our Liability Waiver and Rules Agreement.
