MINI CLINICS
The idea for these clinics is that they are one hour in length and customers can take an hour out of their work-out and participate and then go back to climbing.
The Purcell Prusik NEW
The Purcell Prusik is an adjustable personal anchoring system to be used for attaching to an
anchor. In recent tests it proved much safer than the Daisy Chain or sling attachment. This fun and
informational clinic teaches you how to tie and use the Purcell Prusik and discusses the added
safety aspects, as well.
Belay Systems & Anchor Management
This three hour clinic is dedicated to the “traditional” lead climber or top belayer looking to
streamline their systems and transitions. A good companion clinic would be the “Escape the Belay”.

Escape the Belay
This three hour hands-on clinic is devoted to teaching you how to “escape the belay” as you would in
any multi-pitch situation. You will practice applying knots to escape the route and retrieve all your
gear in the process.

Rope Transfer
When the outdoor sport leader reaches the anchors and they are a closed system, such as chains or eye hooks. First the leader must untie and "transfer" the rope through the anchors, re-tie and descend. The clinic provides safe, efficient methods for this process.

Third Rope Retreat
You've been working a sport route and have decided to bail or retreat from the climb. This clinic is designed to escape the route and retrieve all your gear in the process.
Knots and Rope Coil
This fun and educational clinic includes three rope coil methods for different climbing applications and knot instruction for belaying and anchoring purposes.

VERTICAL ENDEAVORS INSTRUCTOR COURSE
This course is an in-depth examination of the sport of climbing and the operation of a climbing facility. Skills such as teaching how to belaying, rappelling, knot tying and risk management are the main focus of this course. Completion of this course qualifies you as a candidate for employment at Vertical Endeavors. Students who pass will receive a certificate of completion.

Belay Systems and Anchor Management Clinic
This three-hour clinic is designed for an experienced climber or a climber that wants to begin traditional lead climbing. The content is similar to the first three hours of the outdoor VEGA Traditional Lead Climbing class. Customers are provided with options for choosing the appropriate belay systems and concepts to help organize and streamline their anchor station when multi-pitch climbing. The first two hours of the clinic is dedicated to content and the remaining hour for questions and hands on practice.
